CBS MBA Accelerator
The CBS MBA Accelerator is designed for the MBAs at Copenhagen Business School who are starting their own companies or creating projects within companies. The setup is based on acceleration models for start-ups and innovations (see Techstars, Ycombinator, Startup Bootcamp etc.). The CBS MBA Acceleration model has been designed to build on knowledge and experience acquired during the CBS MBA programme.
The purpose is to explore the start-up process of companies with active learning. The focus will be on understanding business concepts like: Business models, market development, prototyping, business platforms and pitching. The project is to develop a business idea into a business development plan. The emphasis is on the practice of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial strategies. The objective is that the entrepreneurs will develop their start-ups and test their assumptions for value creation.
The accelerator course is a mentor-driven process with few short motivational lectures. Mentors will help students to develop their business ideas during the accelerator. The mentors are experienced investors, researchers, entrepreneurs and experienced business mentors.
The CBS MBA Accelerator is part of the Business Development course in the Fulltime MBA programme. The final assignment for the Business Development course is a Business Development Plan for the business created in the accelerator.
The founder and lead mentor of the CBS MBA Accelerator and the professor for the Business Development course is Dr. Eythor Ivar Jonsson (email@example.com).
